Inspired by Louvre Abu Dhabi’s exhibition Spices and Wonders: Sailing the Indian Ocean, this performance celebrates a shared cultural heritage shaped by generations of maritime exchange.

Sounds of Memory is a musical journey inspired by movement, memory, and connection across time and place. Drawing on the ways music travelled across the Indian Ocean through centuries of trade, migration, and cultural encounter, traditional melodies, rhythms, and instruments are reimagined in a contemporary orchestral experience.

Through a series of musical medleys, the night brings diverse musical traditions into dialogue before culminating in an original finale that unites these influences in a shared musical language.
