Once Upon a Tune – Carnival of The Animals

Step into a world where music becomes story, and imagination takes center stage.

The UAE National Orchestra presents its first family concert in the Once Upon a Tune series, titled “Carnival of the Animals”, inviting audiences of all ages to experience the magic of music together. Blending storytelling, interaction, and orchestral colour, this immersive performance brings characters and emotions vividly to life.

The Program

Part 1: Introduction to Music
The journey begins with a warm welcome into music as a universal language. Children are invited to explore what music is made of, discovering its two building blocks: notes and duration.

Part 2: Move, Sing & Explore the Musical Scale
A fun, interactive journey where children discover the seven musical notes through movement, voice, and play. From low “Do” to high “Do”, they use their bodies to feel pitch, learn musical patterns, and build confidence through engaging call-and-response games.

Part 3: Emotions in Sound
An interactive experience where children listen to music, feel the emotions it expresses, and respond through movement, dance, and imagination.

Part 4: The Carnival of the Animals
A captivating live performance of Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals, where music brings the animal kingdom to life through 14 imaginative movements. Guided by narration and visual animations, children are invited to explore each musical scene, discover different characters, and experience how sound can tell a story.
